Exciting day of racing in Killygordon on Sunday

Dylan Browne-McMonagle notched up another victory in his career when he guided Let's Go Boys to victory in a grandstand finish in Ramelton on Sunday in sun-drenched conditions.

He edged out Rathmullan horse, Mister Mac, ridden by Daniel McMenamin.

Rathmullan rider, Luke McAteer, had mixed fortunes. He took his first local win of the season on board his own horse, Messi, in what was another close finish, getting the better of Sea Biscuit from Ballyare.

Unfortunately, Luke took a tumble in the final race of the afternoon and sustained a broken collar bone. He is wished a speedy recovery from the racing fraternity.

The top jockey of the meet was last year's champion, Rossa Ryan from Corrafin, who chalked up another four-timer.

Racing continues this Sunday at the Finn Valley when Russell's farm Kilcadden, Killygordon will host an eight race card. The venue is adjacent to the Finn Valley show field.

First race gets underway at 4.30pm to accommodate those wishing to watch Donegal's championship match against Fermanagh in Ballybofey. Refreshments available and bookies on course.
