Donegal snooker player off to World Masters

Donegal snooker player, Peter Donegan, is on the trail of a European Masters Snooker Championship trail next week in Lithuania.

Donegan, who lives in Kilcar, is competing in the individual European Masters Championship. He is also a member of the two man Irish team competing in the European Masters Team Championships. Nigel Power from Drogheda is the other member of the Irish team.

“I’m looking forward to the championships and preparation have gone well and I have qualified for the semi-final of the Donegal Snooker Championships in recent weeks,” said Peter, who trains in the North West Snooker Club in Letterkenny.

“I’m due to play Aidan Devenney in the semi-final when I return from the Europeans.”

The European Championship gets underway on Monday, June 6th and run until the following Friday, June 10th.

Peter (pictured) is no stranger to big snooker championships. He competed at last year’s World Masters in Wigan where he won his first round match before bowing out of the competition in the second round.
