The seniors had a good win over Sean MacCumhaills, in the championship on Sunday. The reserves lost their game.

The under 14’s lost out in the Joe McGeady A- final against Naomh Padraig Muff on Sunday night on a scoreline of 3-9 to 2-7. The minor’s beat Naomh Ultan last week 5-15 to 1-7 and are now through to the Division Two County Final against Cloughaneely next Wednesday in Killygordon. . The under 12 boys followed up their previous victory over Buncrana when they beat Burt last Tuesday. . The under 8 boys and girls hosted Carndonagh on Thursday evening with both clubs fielding three boys teams and a girls team on the night. These young players gave a great exhibition of Gaelic football to the home and away fans.
The under 10 girls played Carndonagh on Monday, check Facebook for match result. The under 12 girls had their first win in the Inishowen C competition with a victory away to Urris.

Last weekend the seniors drew with Naomh Columba in the first round to the championship. The game, marked the return of John Doherty to senior championship.
The reserves had an excellent start to the championship with a win over the men from ‘Glen’. Malachy McCann continued with his in form minors. Ryan McElhinney and Conor O’Donnell controlled midfield who between them scored 1-4. . John Cassidy and Owen McColgan were in form also in the cornerback berths and . Ronan Doherty (x) showed his prowess with an impressive 1-2 from half back. This was a great win for Buncrana.

The seniors lost and the reserves won their championship games against Naomh Muire on Sunday.
Congratulations to u14 lads who made it through to the Northern Division Two final on Friday night after defeating Downings on Friday evening.
The senior men got their league campaign back on track on Saturday evening with an excellent home win against Na Rossa.
The senior ladies continued the winning home wins for the weekend when the defeated the Donegal Gaeltacht champions Glenfin.
The ladies have managed to go through the league shield with a 100% record well done ladies. This Sunday the all county league gets underway and the ladies entertain Termon at home with a 11am throw in.
Finally on Sunday evening the club held the finals of the Joe McGeady Memorial u-14 Inishowen league finals. In two very entertaining games Steelstown and Muff came out on top in the B and A finals respectively. Thanks to everyone for the support and who worked behind the scenes to make the evening go so smoothly.

Last Sunday evening we hosted our first session in the glass lobby at the Silver Tassie Hotel. This was a great evening with fantastic musicians and singers performing.

The Letterkenny Gaels annual 5k Road Race and Fun Run will be held on Tuesday 31st May. This 5k is part of the Donegal Grand Prix Series.
Four of our young hurlers represented the club at the U-14 Hurling skills competition in Convoy at the weekend. The players were Anthony O' Baoghaill, Eoin Keenan, Conal Boyle and Matthew Winters. The lads will be eligible to take part next year as they will still be underage.

The Seniors and Reserves got their 2016 Championship underway on Sunday in the Park against Kilcar. The seniors drew and the reserves won.
The minor boys footballers lost their county league semi-final to Ardara last week and will have no games now until championship in July.
The U14 hurlers will take on Buncrana in the Co. A League Final this Thursday night with venue tbc. The Minor hurlers had a good win over Aodh Ruadh, last week and will take on Carndonagh in the Minor B League Final this Thursday night, venue also tbc. Congratulations to Paul O’Donnell who won the County U14 Hurling Skills competition and will represent Donegal in Abbottstown in a few weeks’ time.

Our Senior and reserve teams were at home to Burt in the Intermediate championship,our reserve team got off to a great start with a convincing win. There were good performances from Pauric Gormley, Richard Walsh, James Walsh, Gerard Martin and Sean Rooney who scored 2-2 from play.The senior team left it very late to snatch the draw in a very close match that went down to the very last kick of the game, a point from Paul McGrory. There was good displays from Miceal Travers, David Walsh and Paul McGrory.

For the next few weeks the underage teams will train in Errigal College, close to the hospital at Windyhall. The following are the training times for the various underage groups:
U6s - Wednesdays - 6.30pm to 7.30pm
U8s - Saturdays - 1pm
U10s - Mondays - 6.30pm to 7.30pm
U11s - Fridays - 6.15pm to 7.30pm
U12 (girls) will train at the training pitch on Wednesdays at 6.15pm to 7.15pm.
Can ALL players please stay off the main pitch until further notice. Alternate arrangements have been made for all teams' training schedules.

The reserve team played one of their best games of the year, and were unfortunate not to at least share the points in their opening round of the Championship against Naomh Conaill in Glenties on Saturday last. The seniors lost out after losing Ricky Gallagher to badly broken collar bone. He is wished a speedy recovery.
Up this week is Gaoth Dobhair in Machaire Gathlán, with throw in at 1.30 and 3.00 for the reserves and seniors.

Congrats to our U14 boys who won the NRB Division 1 league title last Friday night. In a game that had all the good things about Gaelic football, huge quality and commitment, superb scores from both teams, great goalkeeping from both goalkeepers and supporters fom both clubs showing their appreciation to both sides, a fantastic occasion. Jamie Grant and Aaron Gallagher had the honour of collecting the trophy, well done boys. Gaoth Dobhair were worthy finalists and led by 2.02 – 0.01 after 15 minutes but these boys did not panic and produced a fantastic 45 minutes and added another medal to their already considerable collection. Next up it’s a County Semi Final against Aodh Rua Ballyshannon with date and time to be confirmed.
