Almost every one of Donegal's golf clubs have been involved in club matches this week.
There have been some thrilling matches with some fantastic scores recorded.
Elsewhere, local golfers are enjoying the good weather and shooting some great scores in their club competitions.
Here's what's been happening this week around the county:
Ballybofey and stranorlar
It was a busy weekend for the club. The Ulster Cup team captain John McMenamin sent his troops out on Saturday against a Co Down side, Mahee Island. After winning four and a half matches to two and a half matches, John is confident that they can travel to the seaside town in Newtownards and bring home a good result.
Buncrana Golf Club was to be the venue where Tony Griffin and his Donegal League team would do battle and battle they did, coming away with two and a half matches. A tough little nine hole course which demands accuracy and patience. I'm sure Tony will have his side play a game of patience on the home turf and pick up the necessary matches.
Alastair Henderson once again took charge of B&S Pierce Purcell Team who travelled to the coastal course in Dunfanaghy for the initial qualifying round but after a fine performance by all of his team, they fell short by just two points (or two putts). Talking to Alastair, he tells me that this team is a work in progress and is expecting big things of them in the next few years.
Our Ulster Fourball Team travelled to Rockmount Golf Club, located in Carryduff just south of Belfast, under the guidance of Asst. Team Captain Dougie McFeely and a great result he was to bring home. The five matches played were split down the middle that being two and a half matches each and B&S only one hole down. Well done lads. Good luck to all our teams in their return legs.
