Ballybofey boxer Jason Quigley will face another Mexican opponent when he next enters the ring next month.
The Donegal man will face 28-year-old James De La Rosa in a bout which is part of the Canelo Alvarez-Amir Khan undercard in Las Vegas.
The fight takes place on Friday night, May 7th.
Last month, Quigley beat De La Rosa's fellow countryman, Freddy Lopez in style.
However, he will face stiffer opposition in the form of James De La Rosa who has 26 professional bouts and a 23-3 record to his name.
De La Rosa might be ring-rusty, having not fought since a December 2014 loss to Hugo Centeno Junior in Brooklyn but, with 26 bouts and a 23-3, 13KOs record to his name, this represents a big leap in terms of the quality in the opposite corner for Quigley.Quigley was last in action at the end of March. he took his professional boxing record to 10-0 with an impressive first round demolition of Freddy Lopez at Fantasy Spring Resort Casino in Indio, California.
He had little trouble beating the 11th hour replacement, sending the Mexican to the canvas twice in as many minutes before landing the
decisive blow to secureanother impressive win.
