Aodh Ruadh continued their good run with a big win away to Downings. The win was built on a strong full-back line and Michael Sticky Ward was back up front.

A resolute second half performance ensured that the home team held on for victory in this entertaining match at Páirc na nGael yesterday evening.

The Gaels did the spadework for the victory in the opening half as they led 2-5 to 0-7 at the break with the goals coming in the last ten minutes of the half from Brendan O'Brien and Conor McBrearty.

Scorers were scarce in the second half with just five scored and all of them came in the opening eight minutes, as the final 22 minutes remained scoreless with both sides guilty of misses.

Buncrana started very strong and racked up 2-3 with eleven minutes on the clock with goals from William McLaughlin (4) and Oisin O Flaherty (11 mins).

Naomh Colcille took 17 minutes make an impression on the scoreboard with with a point from Joe Donaghey from play. They converted three frees in the first half.

A four goal blitz from Fanad Gaels helped them over come Naomh Ultan. Both sides contested in the first half and there was little between them.

A Jimmy Coyle goal made the difference between the side at half time on a scoreline of 1-03 to 0-03.

Second half goals from Niall Carr, Oisin McFadden and Joe Blaney helped the Gaels secure a good home win despite the high point scoring rate of Naomh Ultan

Naomh Brid had too much firepower for Urris in this Division Three clash played in Trummon.

Pauric McDaid from the penalty spot and Shane Walsh scored the goals, both in the first half, as Naomh Brid led 2-2 to 0-3 having played against the wind in the opening half.

And with Clint Walsh and Sean Gormley driving on from the half-back line and Tom Gallagher and Paul McGrory in control at midfield Naomh Brid dominated the second half as they outscored the Inishowen men by eight points to one.
