Kilcar had it pretty easy against a Glenswilly side without Michael Murphy and Neil Gallagher.
Kilcar . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1-14
Glenswilly . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .0-7
The South West side were minus Ryan McHugh and the injured Eoin McHugh and Michael Hegarty, but they had too much firepower and were well on their way when they led by 0-11 to 0-1 at the break after having the breeze in their backs in the opening half. Brian Farrelly kicked the lone Glenswilly point.
An already depleted Glenswilly were not helped by Paddy McFadden picking up a black card on 12 minutes.
The McBreartys, Stephen and Patrick, accounted for six of Kilcar’s first half total with Aodhan McGinley getting two.
Any chance of a Glenswilly comeback were put to bed in the 44th minute when Ciaran McGinley got through for his customary goal to leave his side 1-13 to 0-3 ahead.
Although Kilcar only managed a Patrick McBrearty free from t here to the end, Glenswilly tried hard but were only able to put a better look on the scoreboard.
