DIVISION TWO

Naomh Columba record good opening win

Naomh Columba 0-10

Four Masters 1-6

Glen 'keeper, Pauric O’Donnell was the hero for Naomh Columba, as his penalty save from Four Masters' sharpshooter Michael Doherty before half-time was the turning point of this well-contested affair in Pairc na nGael.

Four Masters led by 1-5 to 0-6 at half-time thanks to a Darren Doherty goal in a very evenly fought half where Michael Doherty and Martin Cunningham and Ryan Gillespie traded points.

The second half was a real see-saw affair before the youthful but accurate Padraig Byrne ensured a home victory for Glen with a well struck free late on.
