Lights go out on Finn Harps and Sligo Rovers
SSE AIRTRICITY PREMIER DIVISION
Damien McNulty scored a brilliant equaliser for Finn Harps against Sligo Rovers on Saturday night.
But this game will be remembered for a premature ending when the game was abandoned because of floodlight failure at The Showgrounds.
There were only four minutes left in normal time, when, with the scoreline at 1-1, a section of the floodlights suddenly went out.
The game was delayed for up to 15 minutes before match referee, Padraig Sutton, eventually decided to blow for full time.
A decision on whether or not the result will stand will be made by league authorities this week.
