There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot which rolls over to a cool €2,900 for next week’ s draw. The numbers drawn were 2,9,12,14,21. Paul Friel was the weekly winner.

Eamonn O Boyle's first game as bainisteoir resulted in an away win against Division One champions Naomh Micheal in Dunfanaghy on Sunday in comortas Peile na Gaeltachta .

A sadness fell over the Lower Rosses s this week with the news of the passing peacefully of Antoin Rodgers, father to our Lower Rosses Mayor Sean Mac Ruairí.

CLOUGHANEELY

The seniors bowed out of the Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta at the weekend when they played Termon at home in the first round of the competition. Cloughaneely were unfortunate to lose on a final score of 1-13 to 3-10.

With both seniors and reserves exiting the Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta their focus now turns to their Division Two league campaign which gets underway on March 20th.

Congratulations to former Cloughaneely ladies player Karen Feeney who helped her side, Queen Margaret University win the British Universities Championship in Manchester at the end of February. Karen was also named Player of the Tournament in the British Universities Championship!

NAOMH PADRAIG (LIFFORD)

The weekly lotto draw took place on Monday 7th March 2016. The numbers drawn were 14, 17, 27 and 30. There was no jackpot winner. Five people matched two numbers, each receiving €20.

Ladies registration will take place on Thursday 10th March in Tír Chonaill Park at 6:30pm.

The club would like to express sympathy with Kevin ‘Cookie’ Gallagher and the Gallagher family over the recent passing of his grandmother. Also to the McMullin family, Meenadreen, on the passing of Bridie McMullin.

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot of €4,900 in week 34 of the 2015/16 season draw held in the Abbey Hotel on Monday night. The final registration evening will take place on Thursday 10th March 8-9pm in the Clubrooms. Fees must be paid in full by March 31st.

Plans in place for all St Naul’s Ladies players, underage girls and boys to take part in Mountcharles St. Patrick’s Day Parade. All underage girls, boys and senior ladies should meet at Mountcharles Chapel at 11.45 wearing St. Naul’s tracksuits.

The SLOTTO numbers drawn on 20th February were 5 6 3 1 7 2 4. There was no winner. The €80 consolation prizes went to Rosaleen Curran and Deirdre Kennedy. The numbers drawn on 27th February were 1 7 3 6 5 2 4. The jackpot was not won. The €80 consolation prize was won by Cathal Lowther.

REALT NA MARA (BUNDORAN)

There was no lotto jackpot winner this week. The winning numbers were 1, 7,9,11,12. The €50 winners were Brian McMahon, Strabane, Co Tyrone, Eamon Maguire, 50 Ross Ave, Bundoran, Claire Howard, Milltown, Bellewstown. Co Meath.

Sligo native Willie Gormley has been appointed senior team manager for the 2016 season. Willie managed Tubbercurry to the senior championship in 2014 and was manager of the Sligo IT team in their recent Sigerson Cup .

The minors match scheduled for last weekend did not take place.

AODH RUADH

We are in the crucial month for club registration with GAA membership deadline of March 31st looming. Players can also download registration forms from

aodhruadh.org and submit this along with the relevant fee directly to their manager. We are now able to take registrations in Gerry Ferguson's Jewellers.

Unfortunately, much to the disappointment of the 50 odd players, management teams and supporters concerned, last weekend's programme of under 14 and under 18 fixtures were postponed last Thursday.

The under 14 girls have a challenge match this Saturday at 10am in Ballyshannon against Glencar / Manorhamilton, throw-in is at 10am, all players at the park for 9.20am.

Congratulations to David McLoone who was elected Donegal Development Officer on Monday evening. He succeeds our own Terence McShea who served in the post with distinction for a number of years.

Thanks to those who helped with the arrangements for the All Ireland Colleges semi-final and the ladies senior inter-county games at the weekend.

As we are going into the busiest few months for games activity we need good advance notice of challenge games. Otherwise it will be difficult to accommodate them. It is also important that club team managers contact Peter Conlon in good time where there are changes to arrangements for official fixtures.

Congratulations to the Aodh Ruadh Tráth na gCeist team who came fifth in the Ulster finals in Armagh last Friday in a high standard competition.

Operation Reformation concluded last Thursday. This was a wonderful event that brought almost 200 people out each week to exercise, walk and weigh in. The total weight loss was a massive 45 stone!

The final 5km walk/jog/run will take place on Sunday 13th of March at 12pm. Registration is from 11am in the Bayview. Open to everyone! €5 each, €3 for under 16s.

There is a club meeting on Thursday 10th March at 9pm in Fintra. (Club registrar Susan Mc Ging will be taking membership at the meeting!)

The Club Draw (as part of the National Club Draw) will take place in the Harbour Bar on Saturday night at 10.30pm.

The seniors lost at home to Naomh Mhuire in Comortas Peile Na Gaeltachta on Saturday last at the Bridge.

The National League game v Roscommon in O’Donnell Park on this Sunday 13th March at 3pm is an all ticket game. Tickets can be purchased in the usual outlets .

There was no jackpot winner in the lotto on Sunday night. The numbers drawn were 3,6,8,9,12,17. There were four Match 5 winners, Ralph Finnegan, Ballina ,Falcarragh, Brenda Duffy, Roshine, Sally Langan, Derryreel and Mary Ferry, Magheramena who won 25 Euro each. This week’s Jackpot be €2950.

NA ROSSA

Well done to one of our senior ladies player Ellie McDonnell as she was selected to represent St Columba's Comprehensive School Glenties as the President of Ireland presented fifth year Scholars around the country with the national flag and proclamation at a ceremony in Croke Park on Monday.

The seniors started the season last Sunday with a Gaeltacht match against Dungloe reserves and came away with a 3-8 to 3-4 win. .

This match was also a tribute in remembrance of Breege Gallagher, Corr Point, the wife of former Na Rossa senior player, Vinny. Thanks to the Dungloe club for the tea and refreshments afterwards. The seniors now play Glenfin in the next round this Saturday afternoon.

The club would like to thank Aidan and Ann Marie of Teach Gleann Chleo for sponsoring energy drinks for the senior squad.

The lotto draw took place last Monday night in the hall.There was no jackpot winner on the night. The numbers drawn were 4,14,25 and 28.The lucky dip winners who receive €50 each were Brigid Glackin, Dirlaught and Hannah Caulfield, Doochary.

A huge thanks to everybody who supported the table quiz ran by our senior and reserve teams on Saturday last.

Our reserves played Glenswilly on Saturday away in the Gaeltacht competition in the team’s first game of the year, losing out to the better side our lads battled well.

Our Club lotto is €4,200 this Tuesday the 8th of March so get your tickets. Club membership is up for renewal. Members will be around the parish in coming days with membership forms.

Both our County Footballers and Hurlers were unfortunate in their travels away from home on Sunday with the Hurlers losing to Meath and the Footballers to Kerry.

Our minors boys had a great start to their league campaign when they beat Red Hughs at home on a score line of 2.13 to 0.07. It was a good team performance with the two goals coming from Adam Marley. They are away to MacCumhaill's next week.

Donegal ladies had another good win against Clare in Ballyshannon; that’s five out of five now and are sitting top of the league. Well done to our own Yvonne Bonner who scored 3 goals and also to all the other Glenfin ladies involved.

Scoil Chróine Parents Association introduced the Inaugural Brid Gallagher Memorial Cup on Sunday between An Clochán Liath and Na Rossa. It doubled with the first round of the Junior Gealtacht Championship. The final score was 3-08 to 3-04 in favor of Na Rossa. It was a great day in memory of a very special lady.

Congratulations to all the Dungloe Under-Age Children, who successfully completed the Dungloe GAA Skills Camp.

There will be a meeting for all underage lady footballers and parents to see what numbers we have for each age group and help required for the year ahead. The meeting will be held in the clubhouse on Friday the 11th at 8:00pm.

TIR CHONAILL GAELS

Tir Chonaill Gaels wishes to extend its sympathy to former player Brendan McGready and the Mc McGready family on the recent passing of their father Brendan McGready Senior, Inver, Donegal. May he Rest in Peace.

Well done to the Tir Chonaill Gaels Junior team who overcame a determined Naomh Padraig team at Wormwood Scrubs Playing Fields at the weekend. It was a closely contested affair throughout, the Gaels failed to convert a couple of early goal opportunities and at half-time it was level pegging at 0-4 each. It was nip and tuck until a goal and a couple of points in quick succession from the Gaels seen the final score line at 1-07 to 0-6. Well done to all the lads and manager Paul Coggins.

London St Patricks Day Parade - Sunday 13th March - 12 noon onwards

TCG are to take part in the London St Patricks Day Parade on Sunday. All are welcome to take part (children must be supervised by an adult). Green/White & Gold / County / Club colours requested, the brighter the better, meeting at 11.30 am latest on Piccadilly (for 12 noon start) - nearest tube station is Green Park. Zone A (at the start of the parade). Look out for the TCG Minibus. Hope to see as many of you as possible on the day to represent our club on what is a fun, family event. Once the walk is over (approx 40 mins at a gentle pace) you are free to enjoy the entertainment in Trafalgar Square with various live bands including a performance by the one and only Nathan Carter!!!

Letterkenny Gaels

Letterkenny Gaels are delighted to be associated with the national Rith event which takes place this Friday. Our club members will proudly run the Letterkenny Main Street Kilometre which is scheduled for 11.50am.

Our u-18 lads kicked off their 2016 season with a defeat to neighbours Naomh Colmcille in Group 3 of the Northern Minor league. They are fixed to play away to St. Eunans next Sunday.

Gaeil Leitir Ceanainn are entering a float in this year's St. Patrick's Day Parade in Letterkenny on Thursday 17th March.

The u-12 camogie team travelled to Meadowbank in Magherafelt for an Ulster Blitz at the weekend. The girls played some of the top teams in Derry and Antrim and finished the day with 2 victories and 3 draws.

The U-14 hurlers will take part in the Donegal B Feile on 20th March with the winning team progressing to the All Ireland Feile Competition in June.

Moville

Moville GAA Easter Camp takes place for all boys and girls U-6 to U-12 on Monday March 21st to Wednesday March 23rd from 10am to 1pm at the GAA pitch.

We are down to the final 20 in the Last man Standing competition with only 4 fallers over the weekend. Galway accounted for 3 of those with Down the other. The majority of people this week have backed Donegal on home turf against Division 1 surprise package Roscommon. Should Roscommon come away from O'Donnell Park with a win there could potentially only be 8 remaining.

€2,900 raised with superb Guest Tea! The organisers of the Guest Tea would like to thank to everyone who helped in any way in ing the event a huge success on Friday night last.

The reserves had a good win against Glencolmcille in the Gaeltacht at home on Sunday afternoon and are through to next round. The seniors were beaten by two points against Ardara in Ardara.

The Susan Carr and Elaine Winston Memorial Cup start in Glenswilly at 10am on March 14th next.

The minors play Buncrana on Sunday afternoon next at 12.30pm in Glenswilly
