Ulster handball success for Donegal

Antrim Allianz Cumann na mBunscol hosted this year’s Ulster handball finals in Belfast at the Gort na Mona and Colaiste Feirste alleys.

Indeed Colaiste Feirste was a buzz with activity as the Minister of Education, John O’Dowd was turning the first sod on the new £11m Sport’s Facility. Head of PE, Seamus O’Touma was delighted to welcome handballers from all parts of the Province to the new alleys at Colaiste Feirste.

The quality of handball matched the facilities as the large gathering of spectators were treated to an aray of talents. The handballers from Dhun na nGall Allianz Cumann na mBunscol were in sparkling form as they lifted two Ulster titles.

In the Ulster u13 Boys Singles, Oisin Marley, Dromore NS, defeated Oisin Byrne, Drumgossatt Monaghan in a closely contested match which had the gathered spectators on the edge of their seats throughout the game.

In the Girls U13 Singles, Caoimhe McGlynn, SN An Choimin, was always in control during the final against Kerry Havern from Down.
