Seamus Coleman hit his fifth goal of the season for Everton as helped propel his side back into the top four of the Premiership.
Coleman struck with a thunderous right foot shot just nine minutes into yesterday’s game against Southampton at Goodison Park.
And even though Southampton did get back level, Romelu Lukaku struck for the winner for the Toffees in the second half.
It has been a wonderful season for the Killybegs man, who is enjoying the freedom he is being given to go forward by new Everton manager, Roerto Martinez.
Seamus has been given the licence to power forward at every opportunity and there have been benefits for both himself and the club. He is now regarded as one of the top full-backs in the Premiership with his stock rising by the day.
At the half-way stage in the season Coleman’s Everton are in fourth place, a point ahead of great local rivals Liverpool and three ahead of holders Manchester United. And Seamus has played a great part in that success so far.
