The minor team lost at home on Friday night to Aoadh Ruadh on a scoreline of 1-7 to 0-6, there were some solid performances from Ryan Rodgers, Chris Greene, and the Scaly Brothers Jack and Owen. The U-16s got through to the next round of the championship with a very impressive 4-7 to 0-10 victory away to Naomh Conaill on Monday. The U-12s were in action on Monday as well, the B team lost their game to Na Rossa 4-6 to 4-2 while the A’s won their game against Four Masters 3-11 to 3-3.
AODH RUADH: The seniors and reserves had no game last, but we are back in action this Saturday when we are on our travels to a Carndonagh team in a fine vein of form.
The minors maintained their unbeaten progress through the league with a 0-6 to 1-7 away win over Dungloe. Aodh Ruadh claimed the Southern Minor Board U-14 League title with a three-point victory over Killybegs in another epic encounter between the teams last Saturday. Last Thursday our U-14 hurlers lost 2-2 to 1-3 in Buncrana, We play Burt this week. Aodh Ruadh won the minor game 4-6 to 3-4. This Thursday the lads play Burt.
A course in basic first aid is being organised for Tuesday, May 22. Course will be delivered by Liam Thomas, further details will follow soon. There was no winner of the €1,400 Aodh Ruadh Lotto jackpot last Sunday. The numbers drawn were 2, 4, 5, 6, 13 and 14. In the lucky dip €20 each went to Anthony O’Malley-Daly, College Street; Ann Maguire, Cloghore; Mary Alice Patton, Tonragee; Fr Ó’Fearraigh; and Derrick Gillen.
BUNDORAN: The annual Bord na nÓg social night is back in Marlboro House for the first time in three years on May 24. Tickets are on sale from Marlboro House and from all members of the Bord na nÓg committee.
Bundoran U-12 girls will represent Donegal at the Ulster Community Games finals in Letterkenny on June 23. On Sunday, the U-10 mixed girls and boys travel to Milford to take part in the U-10 County final Community Games blitz. The U-12 mixed team played their first Go-Games league game of the season on Monday evening, recording a good win over Naomh Bríd. The U-14s also played and won against Naomh Bríd last week but this week’s game in Killybegs has been postponed until early June.
On Monday the U-12s are at home to Naomh Naille while on Wednesday, May 16, the U-14s entertain Naomh Ultan. Having lost to Kilcar in the Division Three regional final last week, the U-16s may have a county semi-final against the Northern champions on Friday but this is still to be confirmed.
The Seniors play Cloughaneely this Saturday evening in Bundoran at seven with the Reserves provided the earlier action. The Bunotto numbers were 4, 7, 13, 14 and 16. The three €50 winners were John Ward from Inver, Philip Reynolds from Kiltyclogher and Eugene Lagan from Garvagh Co Derry.
CILL CHARTHA: Some of the bingo winners were Annie Deane €70, Paddy McShane €70, Gracie O’Hara €70, Brid Campbell €30, Tom Campbell €50, Mary McCloskey €80, Theresa Gallagher €40, John Cunningham €150. The winning lotto numbers were 7, 8, 14 and 15. Drawn prizes were €50 – Teresa Dolan, Keenaghan. €30 – Joanne Sweeney, Keenaghan. €20 – Rose McFadden, Towney. The senior and reserve teams had convincing wins over Malin in the home leg preliminary round of the Championship. The return leg will be on May 27 in Malin. Both teams are away to St Eunan’s on Sunday. The Ladies team were unlucky not to get into the Final of Comortas Peil na Gaeltachta in Gaoth Dobhair, losing by the narrowest of margins. Kilcar u12’s host Naomh Columba in the Go Games competition in Towney on Monday at 6.30pm.

FOUR MASTERS: The €50 winners in the Annual Lotto for Week 43 were Mae Timoney, Doonan and Edwin Kirk, c/o Michael Kelly. The numbers drawn were 4, 6, 8 and 19 with the jackpot now standing at €1,700.
Congratulations to U-14 footballer Gerard Byrne who will represent his school, Scoil an Linbh Iosa, Killymard, in Croke Park on All-Ireland final day next September. Gerard, the son of Gerry and Christine from Altidoo, was one of four boys from the South Division to qualify from a divisional trial for a final trial at county level. Another club player, Joe Sheerin from St Francis National School, Barnesmore, also went through to the final trial. Gerard was selected top player at the final trial in Letterkenny last week.
GAEIL FHANADA: The committee hope to run a Child Ethics/Child Protection course in the near future. Any club member who is interested in doing this course should contact Fiona Shiels as soon as possible as places will be limited.
The metal collection bins will remain in Fanad over the coming weekend. If anyone has small amounts of scrap metal that they would like to get rid of, please contact a committee member who can organise a collection.
Comhairdeas to our senior team who gave a very good account of themselves when they played in Comortas Peil na Gaeltacht Dún na nGall at the weekend. Our team created the upset of the tournament by beating Division One side, Ardara, in the semi final on Sunday, setting themselves up to meet the winners of the Gaoth Dobhair and Naomh Conaill tie. Another upset seemed on the cards on Bank Holiday Monday when they played Gaoth Dobhair in the final where the home side ran out winners in a very tightly contested battle, with a three-point margin when the final whistle was blown.
Our quiz team also found a slot in the All Ireland of the Tráth na gCeist when they became eventual winners after three tie break rounds at the final in Gaoth Dobhair on Sunday night.
Adding further to the Gaeil Fhánada representation at the Gaeltacht Finals were club referee’s Siobhan Coyle and Mark Dorrian who played a pivotal role in the smooth running of the games. Well done to both.

GLENFIN: There was no outright winner of last week’s lotto jackpot. The winning numbers drawn were 1, 8, 6, 4, 7, 5, 3 and 2. The minors lost against Carndonagh last Friday night by five points. The U-14 boys league will be starting next Wednesday night and we are at home to Naomh Padraig from Lifford at 7.30pm. Seniors and reserves are away to Killybegs this Sunday at 1-.30pm and 3pm.
The senior ladies were well beaten by Termon in Comortas Peile na Gaeltachta final in Gaoth Dobhair last Sunday morning, next weekend they are away to Robert Emmetts in the league. The monthly club meetings of Bord na nOg and senior board will be held this Thursday evening at 8pm, The Glenfin Drama Group are presenting the Sam Cree comedy Wedding Fever in aid of Clg Gleann Fhinne in the Balor Arts Centre next Wednesday at 8.30pm.
GLENSWILLY: The monthly club meeting will take place on Monday at 8.15pm. Can everyone who is using the hall please ensure that it is locked when they are finished using it, All bookings for the hall or clubrooms must be made through Karen McHugh.
Operation Fitness continues with a weigh Wednesday at 7pm, circuits on Monday and walk on Saturday morning still time to join if you want to lose weight or get fit.
KILLYBEGS: The Killotto had no winner this week. The numbers were 5, 11, 13 and 29. There was one winner of match three numbers; Antonie O’Haraul McCrudden, Killybegs. There was no winner of the Bingo Jackpot. Consolation prize went to Tizzy O’ Carroll, Largy, Killybegs.
The seniors and reserves are playing Glenfin in league on Sunday in Fintra at 1.30pm and 3pm.
LETTERKENNY GAELS: The seniors and reserves lost in Lifford last weekend and travel to Moville this Saturday evening with throw inns at 6pm and 7.30pm. The minors recorded a good win over Fanad on Friday evening at Portsalon with great performances from James Carr, Patrick Doherty and Oisín McElhinney. The U-16s lost out to Buncrana on Sunday evening in the Northern Shield semi-final. We hosted Cloughaneely in our first U-12 outing this year and run out winners by a score of 3-10 to 2-7. The orange team also enjoyed a narrow win over the visitors 2-6 to 1-5 with good displays from Ciaran Patton and Niall Diver. Next week we are away to Fanad. Cake Sale: The Gaels Girls underage teams are having a cake sale this weekend in the Irish Martyrs after 6.30pm Mass on Saturday and after 11.30am Mass on Sunday.

NAOMH ADHAMHNÁIN: The Seniors recorded a good win over Four Masters on Saturday evening in the Park while the Reserves were beaten in their fixture. Both teams will host Kilcar this Sunday. The Juniors went down by a single point to MacCumhaill’s on Friday and they travel to Ardara this Saturday evening with a 7.30pm throw-in.
The minor footballers continued their impressive start to the season on Friday when they travelled to Malin and came away with a good victory - they have now sealed their place in the Northern Board League Final.
The U-12 Division One footballers hosted Fanad and had a good win and travel to Cloughaneely next Monday. The Division Two side were also at home to Naomh Padraig, Lifford and they too recorded a win. They are away to Robert Emmets.
The minor hurlers finished their league campaign with a well deserved win over Burt. The U-14 hurlers also won against Burt last Thursday and meet Letterkenny Gaels this week.
The U-14 Girls footballers defeated Fanad last week in a very close game.
Our summer camps are provisionally set for the following dates: hurling and camogie – July 16–20 and football – July 23 – 27. We will also host a Cúl Camp this year from July 2.

Our U-12’s were defeated against Bundoran on Monday evening. It was a good performance by the lads with as many as eight U-10’s playing.
NAOMH COLUMBA: Hard luck to our senior lads, who lost out to Gaoth Dobhair by a single point in Sunday’s county Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta semi-final. We play host to Termon this Sunday at 1.30pm and 3pm. Our third team are due to host Pettigo on Saturday evening, with a 7.30pm start in Páirc na nGael. Our ladies enjoyed a free weekend, and are back in action this Sunday, with an away fixture to Bundoran.
Our U-16 team were defeated in the second leg of their championship clash with Na Rossa on Monday evening. They now look forward to this Friday’s County Division Two League semi-final, which sees us meet Naomh Colmcille at 7.30pm in Mac Cumhaill Park.
Our U-12s enjoyed a good victory over Ard a Rátha in Monday mornings Go-Games encounter, and are due to travel to Kilcar on Monday evening next, with a 6.30pm start time. NAOMH CONAILL: There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 1, 8, 21 and 24. Two prizes of €50 went to Joseph Martin, 189 Ard Connell Ardara and Nabla Furey, Ard McGill Glenties. Next weeks jackpot is €2,,700.

The U-8’s have their first blitz of the year this Saturday 12 May at 12 noon when they are hosts to Ardara, Kilcar and Na Rossa.
The U-12’s are home to Dungloe on Monday 14th May at 6.30pm in the Go Games league.
The U-14’s got their league off to a winning start when they defeated Naomh Mhuire 3-09 to 1-09. Their next game is away to Four Masters next Wednesday 16th May at 7.30pm.

NAOMH ULTAN: Royal Flush Draw results were 5, 8, 12 and 19. There was no winner, consolation prizes went to Robert Cassidy, Corkermore, Willie Gallagher and John O’Shea. The next monthly meeting takes place on Monday at 8pm.
The U-14 side lost out to Kilcar after a good fight on a scoreline of 3-2 to 3-11. The St John’s team put in another good shift and came out convincing winner, the score was 2-8 to 0-8. The U-16 Killybegs side, which is represented by a number of Naomh Ultan players, lost out in the U16 Division One Southern League Final after a very entertaining fixture in Dunkineely, the final score was Killybegs 3-7 to 2-12. The reserves beat Moville 5-17 to 1-9 and the seniors won 2-12 to 1-14.
NA ROSSA: The senior and reserve teams had a free weekend last weekend. The U-16s qualified for the semi finals of the championship with a second leg victory over Naomh Columba last Monday evening in Dooey. The semi final will take place on June 25. The U-12s had their first competitive game of the season with a very good win against Dungloe B. The monthly meeting takes place this Thursday at 8.30pm in Doherty’s Bar, Ardara.
RED HUGH’S: The winner of the Lotto was Hughie McDevitt who receives €30. The winner of the 100+ Club was Ryan Scanlon. The seniors and reserves’ next fixture is this Saturday away to Buncrana at 6pm and 7.30pm. The senior ladies next game is away to Cloughaneely this Sunday.
The minors played twice last week - losing to Newtown - Red Hughs 0-16 Naomh Colmcille 3-11 and on Friday they beat Convoy -Red Hughs 1-15 Convoy 0-7. The U-16 boys play St Michael’s away in the Shield semi-final this Friday at 7.30pm. Bus leaves pitch at 5.45pm. The U-12 teams play at home to Buncrana next Monday 14th May at 6.30pm. The U-14 boys start the league season next Wednesday at home to Carndonagh at 7.30pm.
The club extends it sympathy to the McCormack family, Ballybofey and McCumhaills on the death of Seamus McCormack and also to the Gallen family, Crossroads, on their recent bereavement.
ROBERT EMMETS: There was no winners in last weeks lotto. The launch of the Robert Emmets Cross Community Integration Project through Sport in Schools took place last Friday week with Michael Black, Cross Border Sports Co-ordinator with the Donegal Sports Partnership in attendance. This project is supported by funding from both the Donegal Sports Partnership and the International Fund for Ireland. Each Friday five coaches from the club attend the four schools in our club area - St Mary’s Castlefin, Donaghmore NS, Ballylast NS and St Safan’s, Doneyloop. They are helped by a coach from the Donegal County Board and the benefits of the project which started last January are already being seen with the children showing an increase in their fitness, agility and movement. This project will carry of for the remainder of 2012. The U-12 next game is Monday week at home to St Eunan’s at 6.30pm. The U-16s play St. Eunans B in the championship on June 25. The seniors play Naomh Colmcille in a top of the table clash this Saturday at Pairc Emmett.
SEAN MACCUMHAILL’S: Our thirds beat St Eunan’s in MacCumhaill Park 2-6 to 1-8. Scorers were Alan Patton 1-2, Packie Gallen 0-1, Paddy Clohessy 0-2, Dennis O’Mahoney 1-0 and Anthony Patton 0-1. Our minors travelled to Buncrana on Friday evening and lost 4-7 to 2-5. On Friday, the minor hurling team play away to Buncrana at 6.30pm and the U-14 footballers are home to Four Masters at 5.30pm. On Sunday the seniors and reserves are home to Fanad Gaels.
ST MICHAEL’S: The club had no game last week. Both senior and reserve teams are away to Naomh Conaill this Sunday at 1.30pm and 3pm. There was no jackpot winner in the St Michael’s Mini Lotto on Sunday night last the numbers drawn were 3, 4, 5, 10, 13 and 15. There were four match five winners, Maggie Curran, Ards; Bridie Kelly, Roscad, Creeslough; Michael McColgan Snr, Sandhill, Dunfanaghy, and Michael A Doyle, Log Cabin, who won €25 each.
Please note that this month’s 50 Club Draw will take place at the bingo session in Dunfanaghy on this Sunday night. The winner of the €150 on the Snowball game at the Bingo session in Dunfanaghy on Sunday night last was Liam McElhinney, Rooskey, Creeslough.

ST NAUL’S: There was no winner of last weekend’s Slotto jackpot. The €80 euro prize for nearest to correct sequence was shared between Eunan Boyle, Gargrim and Helena Dunleavey, Mountcharles. The sequence drawn was 4, 3, 5, 7, 1, 2 and 6.
No joy for the seniors in the Gaeltacht on Sunday last, losing to Termon by a point after extra time. Both teams are away to Downings in the league this Saturday evening. The reserves throw in at 6pm and the seniors at 7.30pm. There is no league fixture the following week because of the Donegal / Cavan Ulster Championship match and a double fixture the week after that with Red Hughs at home on Friday 25 and Naomh Padraig from Muff away on Sunday 27.
This Friday night the club are holding a fundraising table quiz in the Lazy Bush commencing at 9.30pm. Teams of four with everyone welcome.
TIR CHONAILL GAELS: The club have organised a Cardiac screening for the weekend of Saturday 26th/Sunday 27th May 2012. The club are looking forward to the visit of our old friends Killybegs from Donegal on the weekend of June 2/3. We will be playing two games against the men and ladies of Killybegs on the Saturday in Greenford. The men’s game will be played for the Andy Duffy Memorial Cup.
