Letterkenny jockey Martin Harley was in Pisa, Italy on Sunday and finished third in the Ribot Cup, a points-based competition for young European riders, at San Rossore racecourse.

Harley, who is the reigning champion apprentice in Britain, had a winner in the three-race competition, but ended up in third place overall, behind Adam Beschizza.

Riders scored 15 points for a win, ten for second, seven for third, five for fourth, three for fifth and four for a withdrawn horse.
