The Senior Reserve Team played Glenswilly at home on Sunay in Dungloe and were beaten by an experienced Glenswilly team in the Gaelthacht competition. The final score was An Clochan Liath 1-5 Glenswilly 1-9. Conor Carr getting the goal were Dungloe gave debuts to young fledglings the Scally twins, David McCarron and Darren Curran, all having excellent displays along with Alan Rodgers and Damien Hanlon. The seniors play Naomh Muire on Sunday.

AN TEARMANN: The winning lotto numbers were 12, 13, 24 and 27 . There was no Jackpot or match three number winners. Noreen Quinn, Hugh Gallagher and Claire McDermott won €10 each. Sara Harkin and Martina Kelly are next week’s coordinators. The Club social will be taking place on Saturday, March 10, in the Lagoon. AODH RUADH: Páirc Aoidh Ruaidh hosts a double-header this Sunday - the U-16s league clash with Four Masters and the seniors’ concluding fixture of the 2011 Division Three campaign against Burt.

As part of the St Patrick’s weekend Bord na nÓg are running a special St Patrick’s themed interactive quiz on Friday, March 16, in the Bridgend.

Many, many thanks to Mick McGrath of the Bridgend Bar who has generously donated a plasma screen to Aodh Ruadh. A plaque acknowledging all the sponsors will be erected in the Aras. Anyone interested in contributing is asked to contact John Hughes at or 087-6431805.

Our next aluminium can collection will take place on Saturday at Fr Tierney Park from 12 noon to 1pm. Thanks to The Blueberry Tea Room in Donegal Town, the latest business to give us their support. Thanks also to Creevy National School.

Singing Competition of the County Final of Scor na nOg in Glenswilly.

The Minor Board will hold a second registration night on Sunday from 7-8pm in the Heritage Centre. The Minor Board hosted a Foundation coaching course last weekend in the Dolmen Centre under the tuition of Paddy Hegarty and Mick Murphy. The U-16 team get their campaign in the Southern League started this Sunday with an away match against Killybegs at 12pm in Fintra.

BUNDORAN: We have just launched are new fundraising draw in the club - €5 for one ticket or six for €25. The prizes include two match tickets and an overnight stay in the Camden Court Hotel for Dublun v Donegal on March 24, second prize an overnight stay in the Ardmore Hotel and third prize is Club Donegal membership.

There will be three new Bundoran teams this year. For the first time ever, the Southern Regional Board are running U-8 blitzes. Bundoran will play their first ever official U-8 blitz in Pettigo on May 12 and Gaelic Park will hosts its own U-8 blitzes on May 26 and June 23.

The other two new teams are both girls’ sides – U-12s and U-14s as the club strives to build on the recent success experienced by St Macartan’s National School teams.

CILL CHARTHA: There was no winner of last week’s bingo jackpot. Some of winners were Anna Cannon €70, Ann Breslin €70, Francie Cunningham €70, Margaret Doherty €100, Carmel McGinley €70, Brid McDevitt €70, Mary Diver (Teelin) €200. There will be an extra game sheet this coming Sunday to aid fundraising for Fr Gallagher so that he can send six youths from the area with the Raphoe Pilgrimage to Lourdes this coming May.

The Lotto Jackpot this week will be €1,400 as it was not won last week. The winning numbers were 7, 17, 18 and 24. Drawn prizes were €50 – Mary Football Breslin, €30 – Rose McBrearty, Killybegs. €20 - Oisin O’Donnell, Cougish. C.L.G. Chill Chartha will be hosting another fundraising Scrap Saturday in the GAA grounds in Towney on Saturday. Well done to Caroline O’ Donnell who was well placed in the Solo Singing section of the Scor County Final.

A Child Protection Course will run in the Aislann on Thursday, March 8, at 7pm. A Foundation Coaching Course will run on Saturday, March 10, in the Aislann commencing at 10am. All underage team managers are asked to participate in this course. A club meeting will take place in the Aislann on Thursday at 8.30pm. The senior team play in the Comortas Peil na Gaeltachta this Friday against Ardara away at 8.15pm. The team also play in Towney on Saturday at 2pm against Truagh from Monaghan in the Ulster Senior League.

Congratulations to The Erne Gaels U-14 boys on their excellent victory in their first league match of the season, defeating Maguiresbridge last Saturday by seven points. Erne Gaels 6-12 Maguiresbridge 6-5. Erne Gaels minors defeated Derrygonnelly 1-7 Erne Gaels 2-7.

GAEIL LEITIR CEANAINN: The underage season gets underway this weekend with the U-16s travelling to Cloughaneely for their opening league game.

Tutoring is continuing For the Jigs and Reels show which takes place on Sunday night, March 18, in the Mount Errigal Hotel. Our U-12 hurlers took part in the indoor blitz finals last Sunday, only losing out to eventual winners Na Seamróga. Well done to all who took part. Lotto numbers were 1, 15, 16 and 23. NAOMH ADHAMHNÁIN: Well done to all our winners from Friday night’s Presentation night in the Old Orchard Inn. Pride of place goes to our latest Hall of Fame winner, the great Conn Halpin.

Seán Feeney gave a tremendous performance to win the county final of Scór Sinisir in the solo singing category. The St Eunan’s ballad group and the instrumental group also took part but unfortunately did not qualify for the Ulster semi-final.

The U-16 boys footballers begin their league campaigns this Sunday. The Division One team are at home to Gaoth Dobhair while the Division Two team travel to St Michael’s. Both games at 12noon.

NAOMH BRID: Our seniors and reserves were defeated on the road on Sunday afternoon against Strabane Sigersons. The seniors lost 0-11 to 0-7. They seniors play St Joseph’s from Glenavy, Co Antrim this Saturday in Ballyshannon at 3pm in their last Ulster Intermediate League match. Well done to Calum Gallagher who lined out for the Donegal Minors in a challenge match against Longford last weekend. The ldies are hosting their AGM this Friday at 7pm in the Pettigo clubhouse. There will be a foundation coaching course taking place in the near future at a local venue yet to be confirmed. All persons interested in taking part should forward their name to Matt Gallagher.

NAOMH MHUIRE: Comhghairdeas do Bridanna Ni Bhaoill, county champion Scor Sinsear, Dhun na nGall. The U-10 and U-12 teams are going to Dublin on a club trip on Saturday, March 24. We will be taking part in a blitz hosted by Ballyboden Wanderers and attend the Donegal v Dublin match at Croke Park. We will take names this coming week at training. The seniors are out in the Gaeltacht this weekend on Sunday against Dungloe with a 11am throw-in. John Gillespie of Gillespie Engineering has donated a set of kit bags to the Club Senior side for their year ahead in Division Two. The club are most grateful.

Nicole Logan has joined Danny’s backroom team along with Finbar McBride and Charles Doogan. Finbar. Teams entered for competitions this year are U-14, U-16, minors girls and Junior Ladies. We are putting a plan together to enter U-12 girls in the blitz format. Peil na mBan registration is on Friday night in the clubhouse at 6-7pm. 

A second show for the Jigs and Reels has been announced for March 30 with tickets for the extra show on sale at the Cope Annagry this Saturday at 10am and then all Cope Supermarkets and Stephen O’Donnell’s, Crolly.

NAOMH ULTAN: Royal flush draw were 1, 7, 10 and 20 . There was no winner. Consulation prizes went to A Rogers, Brendan Woods and Celine McFadden. A great night had on Friday night last at ‘Dunkineely’s Got Talent.’ Friday is the semi-final and we have the following contestents - Ciara Floyd, Aine McCallig, Ryan Mackey, Gary McNern, Savanna McCafferty, Two Dimension, Megan Quinn, Caroline Gallagher, Sarah Kennedy, Emmet Quigley and Tania Burke.

NA ROSSA: The club are holding a pub quiz this Friday in TGC Doochary starting at 9pm. A sponsored walk /Run will take place this Saturday leaving Paddy Elliott’s.

RED HUGH’S: The winners of the Lotto this week were Sean Brolly and Kieran Bradley and they receive €25 each. The winner of the 100+ Club draw this week was Ronan O’Kane. The winner of the meal voucher for February was Brid Gallagher.

The U-16 team begin their league campaign on Sunday away to Glenfin at 12 midday. All players to be at the pitch at 11am sharp.

The club extends its sincere sympathy to the family of Pat Lafferty following his recent sad passing. Pat was the captain of the Red Hugh’s team which reached the County Junior Final in 1959.

ROBERT EMMET’S: There was no winners in the club lotto last week, the lotto now stands at 2,300 euro.

The U16s have their first competive league match this Sun at Emmett Park against Malin. Players are asked to attend at 11am sharp. A good support is expected to cheer on the boys. Training as usual every Monday and Friday at 6.00pm sharp

Senior ladies played urney ladies on monday night last, well done to Urney on good win, Robert Emmet’s 1.02, Urney 2.04. Training will continue is every monday and wed at 7pm, new and passed players still welcome.

The senior mens team have a very good challenge against Castlederg last Friday night. Training as usual this week from 7.30pm Weds and Fri Night.

SEAN MACCUMHAILL’S: Well done to our senior footballers who maintained their 100 per cent record in the Ulster League. They beat CLG Bredagh in Monaghan 2-11 to 1-10. They are away to Lamh Dhearg, Antrim, on Sunday. The Senior hurlers are at home this Saturday against Castleblaney at 2pm. The U-16 football league starts this Sunday at 12 noon against Cardonagh.

We are looking for people to help out doing stewarting, shop or selling programmes at this match on Sunday for the Donegal v Cork game.

Well done to Martin O’Reilly on his man of the match performance for Marino College against Froebel College on Saturday, scoring eight points in a 0-11 to 0-7 win.

There will be an exhibition of underage Scor in the Villa Rose at 7.30pm on the Wednesday, March 7.

ST MICHAEL’S: In the Junior Gaeltacht match played in Kilcar on Saturday last St Michael’s who won on a scoreline of 5-11 to 3-16. St. Michael’s Scorers Lee Martin Carr 2-6, Oisin Langan 2-0, Stephen Coyle 0-2, Gerard Gallagher 0-1, John Sheridan 0-2 and Martin Breslin 1-0.

Well done to Antoin McFadden and Martin McElhinney who were part of the DCU squad who won the Sigerson Cup on Saturday last beating Maynooth in the final in Galway. The finals of the St Michael’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing will be held in the Clubhouse Dunfanaghy on April 13.

There was no jackpot winner in the club’s Mini Lotto on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 2, 4, 7, 9, 10 and 16; the match five winners were Sinead McFadden, An Chistin, and Ross Wasson, Cottage Road, Dunfanaghy, who won €50 each. The two winners of the €150 on the snowball game was Sally Langan Derryreel.

ST NAUL’S: There was no winner of last weekend’s Slotto jackpot, winner of €80 for nearest to correct sequence was David Keating c/o Patsy Quinn, sequence drawn was 2, 1, 3, 5, 6,4 and 7. Club membership is due for renewal and can be paid to any member of the club executive. The seniors play St Michael’s away in the Gaeltacht competition, probably this weekend.

TIR CHONAILL GAELS: The presentation night takes place this Saturday in the clubhouse. The club makes its annual trip to the Cheltenham festival on Tuesday, March 13.
