Finn Harps manager Ollir Horgan is expecting to hear back from Sligo Rovers next week in regards an extension of Ruairí Keating’s loan.
Keating, who has scored five goals for Harps this season, is on loan at the Ballybofey club from Sligo until the end of June.
Harps round off the month with their first fixture in the SSE Airtricity League First Division since the mid-season break when Waterford United come to Finn Park on Friday.
Horgan had been in contact with Ian Baraclough, the now former Rovers manager, in relation to Keating three weeks ago.
However, Baraclough has since lost his job at the Showgrounds and has been replaced by the former Accrington Stanley boss John Coleman.
Horgan has been in contact with Sligo officials and is likely to have a clearer picture of where Keating’s loan stands next week.
“I’ve been in contact with Sligo in regards Ruairí staying on but we won’t know till after Friday,” Horgan said.
“We’ll just have to wait and see but he will be available for selection against Waterford.”
