There are two cup finals taking place over Easter weekend in the Donegal Youth League.

Letterkenny Rovers, who last month won the Dick Duffy Memorial Youth League, are in both finals.

On Food Friday, Anthony Gorman’s team face Fanad United in the Colin Breslin Memorial Cup final before facing Ballybofey United on Monday in the John “Gorey” Curran Memorial Cup.

The Leckview Park side overcame Fanad on Monday night by three goals to one at Triaghalough in the semi-final.

Rovers made Fanad pay for their early missed chances on 30 minutes when Kevin O’Donnell slid in at the back post to score the opener.

Fanad eventually equalised in the 50th minute when following a mix up in the Rovers defence, Sean Daffan rounded keeper Jason Quinn to score.

Rovers re-took the lead in the 60th minute when a Gareth Doherty free kick from out on the right found it’s way through a ruck of players and into the Fanad net.

In the 80th minute Fanad were reduced to 10 men when Glenn McNulty was sent off for a second yellow card.

From the resulting free kick Gareth Doherty curled a superb shot over the wall and into the net.
