Letterkenny Rovers this week completed a major coup with the signings of former Derry City duo Kevin Deery and Owen Morrison.

Deery has made a total of 302 competitive appearances for Derry and captained the Brandywell outfit to the 2012 FAI Cup.

The 29-year-old midfielder made a total of 13 appearances in the 44 competitive games Derry played last season having suffered with a knee injury.

Left-winger Morrison, 32, has played for Sheffield Wednesday, Hull, Sheffield United, Bradford, Stockport County Dunfermline and Sligo Rovers.

The Leckview club are awaiting FAI clearance to have both re-instated as amateurs and hope to have them available for Sunday’s Ulster Senior League clash with Bonagee United.
