Ten man Finn Harps produced an impressive second half performance to deny leaders Shelbourne a win in Friday night’s SSE Airtricity First Division match in Ballybofey.
Finn Harps . . 1
Shelbourne . . 1
Harps had Josh Mailey red carded for a high tackle on 15 minutes. But despite playing with only ten men, they got the draw their spirited display deserved.
Shelbourne went in front 90 seconds into the second half when Lee Desmond bundled the ball in at the back post.
Darren Tinnelly wasted a good chance to add a second before Ruairí Keating struck the equaliser on 66 minutes. The striker showed wonderful close control inside the area to hold off his man and turn his shot home off the inside of the post.
