Shane Duffy’s Yeovil Town produced a fine 2-0 away win against Birmingham City on Saturday afternoon.
James Hayter struck twice in the 12th and 19th minutes as second-bottom Yeovil secured their third away win of the Sky Bet Championship season at St Andrew’s.
Central defender Duffy is from Derry and his father, Brian, is from Letterkenny is on loan at Yeovil from Everton.
“I’m really enjoying it here,” 22-year-old Duffy told TheScore.ie. “I’m getting experience and game time so it has been good so far. I hadn’t been playing at Everton so to come here and play every week is quite different. It was an easy decision to extend the deal because I enjoyed my first three months so I’ve decided to see how it goes.”
Duffy is the current Republic of Ireland U-21 captain and has also spent loan stints at Burnley and Scunthorpe.
