Keating injury another blow for Harps
There are more injury headaches for Finn Harps manager Ollie Horgan with Ruairí Keating the latest player on the treatment table.

There are more injury headaches for Finn Harps manager Ollie Horgan with Ruairí Keating the latest player on the treatment table.

The striker was forced to pull out of Friday night’s trip to Waterford after suffering back spasms on Thursday. Keating attends a FAS/FAI Youth Soccer Course in Castlebar and may have picked up an injury on that course during the week.

The Co. Mayo native attended a doctor and a physio over the weekend and is now on the doubtful list for this weekend’s double header against Shamrock Rovers B in the league on Friday night and Galway FC in the EA Sports League Cup on Monday.

Harps are already without long-term injury victim Kevin McHugh while defender Keith Cowan is still suspended for Friday night’s game.

Speaking after the defeat in Waterford, Horgan confirmed that he will be making changes for this weekend’s visit of Shamrock Rovers. “Whether I make one change or four, I don’t know yet,” he said.

“One thing’s for sure, the lads know the performance in Waterford wasn’t good enough and they couldn’t have any complaints if they were left out this weekend.”
