New Finn Harps manager, Ollie Horgan will gather his squad together for a team meeting in the coming weeks before the start of pre-season training on January 14th.

Horgan was appointed into the manager’s position on Tuesday and has hit the ground running - having met and spoken to current Harps players and potential new signings on Tuesday and Wednesday.

He is expected to name his backroom team over the coming days and while reports this week suggested he had already appointed former Sligo Rovers goalkeeper, Ciaran Kelly as his No. 2, Horgan said yesterday that no appointment had yet been made.

Horgan was presented to the media and supporters at a press conference in Ballybofey’s Villa Rose Hotel on Tuesday night. He spoke of his delight at getting the job, vacated following the departure of Peter Hutton towards the end of the season.

The former Fanad United manager also revealed that he had applied for but was turned down for the vacant Harps manager’s job back in April 2011.
