Gavin Cullen appears to be set for a third spell to Finn Harps after the Cockhill Celtic goalkeeper helped his side through to the fourth round of the FAI Intermediate Cup.
Cullen played a starring role as the Ulster Senior League champions saw off Crumlin United in Buncrana and although he is likely to feature for Cockhill in the last 16 at St Mochta’s in January, it appears as though it will be a swansong ahead of rejoining Harps.
Cullen, who previously played for the Ballybofey club from 2003 to 2009 and had a stint from 2010 and 2011, revealed he has been in discussions with new Harps manager Ollie Horgan.
“Ollie rang me and I have spoken to him about the possibility of going back up to Harps again,” Cullen said. “I’ll speak to him next week. I am interested in it, if it’s right for me, with work and what have you. At senior level, Finn Harps is my club and I always like to see them to well. If thing are right, I’d love to get back to Harps. But I’ll play for Cockhill in the next round, no matter what.”
