Seamus Coleman has been named as Everton’s player of the month for December.
The former St Catherine’s and Sligo Rovers defender was on the mark against Fulham and also produced two belting goals at Swansea and at home to Southampton. Everton also drew at 1-1 Arsenal and won 1-0 at Old Trafford against Manchester United in December.
Coleman was presented with his award at the Club’s monthly lunch at Liverpool’s Hilton hotel.
After receiving the award from Ian Harvey of event sponsors Williams BMW, Coleman discussed his recent exploits during a Q and A session before posing for photos with diners.
“I am delighted to be getting on the scoresheet. I like to get forward as much as I can and, with the football we are playing, we have a lot of the ball and I am getting chances,” he told evertonfc.com at the end of last month.
“We just want to keep going the way we are going. We have been playing well and getting good results, so we’re looking forward to the games ahead.”
