Finn Harps begin their pre-season at Diamond Park in Ballyare on Monday night.
New manager Ollie Horgan yesterday confirmed further faces on his backroom team.
Former manager James Gallagher, who was confirmed as coach on New Year’s Eve, will be joined by a familiar face in club physio Mickey McGlynn.
Tommy Harkin, who was with Horgan at Fanad United, is the kitman and Therese Laverty will be the nutritionist. Michael Black and Adam Speer of Optimum Fitness will look after strength and conditioning.
Horgan remains in talks to add to the first team squad with a replacement for Ciaran Gallagher, who joined Derry City, required.
“In terms of the playing panel we’ve still the same lads as we tied before Christmas,” Horgan said.
“Gavin Cullen is one we’ve been in talks with in regards rejoining the club.”
Cullen helped Cockhill Celtic reach the last 16 of the FAI Intermediate Cup thanks to a 2-1 victory over Crumlin United in December. It is understood Harps would allow him to represent Donal O’Brien’s side against St Mochta’s in the next round later this month.
Finn Harps have provisionally announced their pre-season fixtures: Sunday Jan 19th v Cockhill Celtic (away); Wednesday Jan 22nd v Drumkeen United (away); Sunday 2nd Feb v Cork City (Galway); Tuesday 4th Feb v Sligo Rovers (away); Wednesday 19th Feb v Irish International Schools Team (home); Saturday Feb 15th Sligo Rovers (home); Friday 28th Feb v Dundalk (away). Harps will also play UCD, with a date and venue to be confirmed.
The First Division starts on Friday, March 7. Shamrock Rovers reserves and Galway FC will join the league.
