Finn Harps aim to continue their recent and decent record against leaders Longford on Friday night at Finn Park.

Harps are missing a number of key players, particularly in defensive areas.

Keith Cowan is suspended, while Damien McNulty and Thomas McMonagle have foot injuries and will definitely not play, meaning Aaron O’Hagan is the only recognised central defender available.

Michael Funston also picked up a hamstring injury in last Friday’s 2-2 draw against Cobh Ramblers in Ballybofey.

Harps have picked up just one point from the last 15 available but have beaten Longford home and away, 1-0 and 3-2 respectively, this season.

“We couldn’t have asked for a more difficult game at this time but we must embrace the challenge and look forward to it,” manager Peter Hutton said this week.

“We are under no illusions how difficult this game will be given our injuries and suspensions but we’ll remain positive.

“We hope to give a good account of ourselves on Friday night as we’ve normally a good record against Longford.”
