The four teams in Group One of the Gweedore Area gets their chance to taste action for the first time in the new Donegal Junior League season when they take the field on Sunday.
The Brian McCormick Cup, won by Rathmullan Celtic last season after they beat Glenea United, is still the prize on offer as the season gets underway.
Dunlewey Celtic will greet the lads from Arranmore at the foot of Errigal. Meanwhile over in The Rosses, the League’s newest club Strand Rovers will play their first Donegal Junior League match against Keadue Rovers.
In Letterkenny, Orchard FC welcome Mulroy Celtic to Errigal College while in the same Group Bonagee United travel to Flagpole Park to play Rathmullan Celtic.
Letterkenny Group Two pairs Milford United with Glencar Celtic and Ramelton Mariners with Whitestrand. In the west Gweedore Celtic host Glenree United while Cranford United have home advantage over Glenea United.
Tullyvinney Rovers play Deele Harps at the Cross and Lifford Celtic play Convoy Arsenal in Lifford Group One. Group Two in the East sees Curragh Athletic host Ballybofey United while Drumoghill FC play Raphoe Town. Donegal Area Group One pairs Cappry Rovers with Fintown Harps AFC while the Celtics of Eany and Dunkineely meet.
In Group Two, Donegal Town welcome Copany Rovers and St Catherine’s play Letterbarrow Celtic.
So with 30 matches fixed for Thursday and Sunday the action in due to get going at venues all around the league’s catchment.
Early season days they may be but a good start can lead to greater things come May 2014.
