Letterkenny Golf Club are due to serve up a most exciting week of golf from this Friday 14th as their Open Week swings into action.
The ten day long Open Week is always eagerly anticipated at Barnhill and given the wide selection of Open competitions beginning on Friday with the Kellys Toyota Open, there is one thing for sure, the course will be a very busy place right through the week. “We are looking forward to another very busy week ten days of golf. We have a great selection of competitions planned and once again, credit must go to everyone who has worked so hard to put Open Week in place,” said club Captain, Henry Mc Cahey.
The competition entry fee for visitors is once again only €15 and we know that there will be a warm welcome to all visitors to the club.”
Again, those playing the course during this time are sure to be impressed with the condition and with the greens in superb condition, scoring is expected to be competitive. With various improvements to several holes adding to the course, members and visitors alike are in for the most enjoyable time.
Saturday 15th will host the Axa Insurance 4ball Betterball Open while we are back to singles Open on the Sunday sponsored by the Co Lab LYIT Business Centre. There will follow a further seven days of competitions with Tuesday and Thursday set aside for Ladies preferred competitions.
Members and visitors are reminded of the availability of food all day at the award winning Browns on the Green restaurant situated in the clubhouse while all your golfing requirements can be obtained from club professional Seamus Clinton and assistant professional Finnian O’Doherty who run the ever popular club pro shop.
