Finn Harps stuttered to an embarrassing defeat at the hands of bottom of the table Salthill Devon on Friday night.

Peter Hutton’s side rounded off the first half of the season in forgettable fashion following Mikey Gilmore’s 88th minute winner for the Galway side.
The hosts went in front just after the break in controversial circumstances. Ciaran Gallagher was, somewhat harshly, adjudged to have fouled End Curran inside the area. Curran scored the penalty himself.
Marc Brolly hit the post as Harps pushed for a leveller but eight minutes from time, Michael Funston scored to give his side hopes of winning all three points. However, Harps squandered that position and Mervue won for only the second time in 14 games this season.
