Coleman stars at the Emirates

Seamus Coleman continued his recent excellent form with another fine performance as Everton claimed a 0-0 draw against Arsenal at the Emirates on Tuesday night in the Premier League.

The Killybegs native has been playing in his natural right-back slot of late and has excelled, being named as man of the match against Arsenal in many circles, although Sky Sports went for teammate Phil Jagielka.

The 24-year-old was very tidy in possession and sharp at the back, with his best moment being a vital interception to deny Olivier Giroud a certain winner 12 minutes from time having chased the French man from halfway to get in a position to make the tackle. The scoreless draw on Tuesday means Everton remain two points behind Arsenal, who currently occupy the last Champions’ League qualifying position, and fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
