Finn Harps Football Club are delighted to announce that North West Forest Services will be the clubs main sponsor for the 2013 season.
The Finn Valley based company will have their name and logo emblazoned on the front of this seasons Finn Harps jersey, which has been designed by the clubs new kit sponsors Macron.
Sean Doherty, proprietor of NWFS is looking forward to a successful season. “In recent years we have supported the Harps u-19 project, so I think it was a natural progression that we would decide to become the anchor sponsor for the whole of Finn Harps Football Club. The management, staff and I are very optimistic that we have chosen the right season to come on board. The team has looked very competitive in pre-season, so we hope the whole county will join us, and get behind Finn Harps for their forthcoming league campaign,” he said.
Finn Harps Chairman Joey O’Leary welcomed the news. “North West Forest Services have sponsored our youth structure in recent years, so I am delighted they have decided to increase their commitment, and support our challenge for promotion this season. Like all sports organisations which compete at national level, it is vital for Finn Harps to secure the support of a main sponsor, therefore everyone at Finn Park is grateful to Sean and his staff for this massive vote of confidence in the Club,” he said.
Steven Doherty managing director of NWFS says: “Like everyone we are aware that Finn Harps has evolved into more than just a football team. The schools programme and the community partnerships they have created are very positive developments for sport in Donegal, which we are pleased to be associated with.”
The back of the 2013 Jersey will be sponsored by Derek Wilkinson Car Sales, a well known patron of Finn Harps over the years.
Joey O’Leary paid tribute to Derek Wilkinson’s long standing contribution to the club. “We also thank Derek for his continued support. Everyone in football is aware of the huge part Derek has played in keeping League of Ireland football in Finn Park over the years. Like us all, he is first and foremost a huge Harps fan and nobody will be happier than him if we get promoted this season,” he added.
