Carrigans kickboxer has chance for European title

Pt’s Carrigans Kickboxer , Damien “Dee” McGuinness has been handed a chance to fight for the the Amateur EKF Full Contact European Welterweight Kickboxing title.

Pt’s Carrigans Kickboxer , Damien “Dee” McGuinness has been handed a chance to fight for the the Amateur EKF Full Contact European Welterweight Kickboxing title.

His opponent and holder of the title is the very durable 24 year old champion, Sam Reeve from Cleveland kickboxing gym in Billingham. Reeve is also the current IKF Full Contact British Welterweight Kickboxing Champion.

Dee has been in top condition, training twice a day 6 days a week, for the past 7 weeks. Dee had been in training to compete in the ISKA World Amateur Kickboxing Championships, due to be held at the end of October 2012 in Holland but just last week, Dee’s coach, Paddy Toland received the call from the EKF sanctioning board after his powerful display in March of this year in St Columbs Hall in Derry when he won the I.S.K.A Irish Welterweight title.

Dee will travel to Billingham, England on Thursday with his coach, Paddy Toland to prepare for Saturdays big fight.
