Kildrum Tigers 2
The side from St Johnston got off to a perfect start on 10 minutes when Kevin McBrearty curled home a free-kick and Glen Bouvaird then scored a fine second goal. Jim McCahill’s team were staring into the abyss, two down at the break, but started their comeback six minutes into the second half. Micheál Doherty scored a penalty after Kildrum’s Conor Crossan handled on the line and was given a straight red card.
With a man down, Kildrum’s grip on the cup was loosening. Ryan Toland levelled with 10 minutes to go and then on 85 minutes, Doherty scored a free-kick that ensured the cup was on its way to Ramelton.
