Bundoran picked up another two points with a comfortable victory over Naomh Mhuire, in Gaelic Park, on Sunday afternoon.

Bundoran 0-16

Naomh Mhuire 0-9

The locals took control from the off and built up an early five point lead which they had extended to seven points by half-time.

By the tenth minute Bundoran were five points up and could well have scored a couple of goals with Tommy Hourihane hitting the post and Michael McEniff and Ciaran McCaughey opting for points when presented with goal-scoring opportunities. Naomh Mhuire’s ploy of high ball to big full-forward John Pidgeon failed to pay dividends and both their first half scores came from placed balls as Bundoran went in 0-9 to 0-2 up at the interval.

Naomh Mhuire, did despite being down a man after they lost their wing forward to a second yellow card, step up after the break and Tomas Duffy and Owen Grant landed the opening two scores of the second half. But Bundoran, with Johnny Ward particularly impressive posting three brilliant pulled away again to run out convincing winners.

As well as Ward, Bundoran had good performances from Ciaran McCaughey, Paul Sheridan and Barry McGowan while Owen Grant, Harry Harden and Brian Gillespie were excellent for the Rosses men.
