The young riders from Errigal Cycling Club had a fruitful day on Sunday in Banbridge in Co Down.

Ciara Doogan beat her brother, PJ, for the first time. PJ took second on this occasion, with Shuana McFadden getting up for third.

In the under-14 race, Ciaran McFadden took the honours. Ciaran has been showing good form in recent weeks and this result is just reward for his hard work. Kristy McIlwaine was third in the girl’s section and placed 15th overall

Jordan McGinley, who has had a number of podium finishes this season, was extremely unlucky not to be one of the top three riders. He finished fourth in a big sprint for the line. Dylan McGinley was 12th in the same race.

With these riders showing good form, and a number of club members set to join them for the big European event planned for Donegal over the first weekend in August, Errigal Cycling Club will hopefully be to the fore in the competition.
