St Michael’s joined Kilcar and Naomh Conaill in second place on the Brian McCormick Sport’s Division One League table with a nine point victory over Ardara at Pearse Park last night.

Colm McFadden scored 11 points and Ciaran ‘the Rock’ Gallagher hitting the goal as St. Michael’s proved too strong for their hosts with a power packed display once they got over their early lethargy.
Ardara were the better side in the early exchanges and lead 0-4 to 0-1 after 12 minutes with the razor sharp Gareth Concarr posting all four points to just one from Colm McFadden. Concarr ended the game with a personal tally of seven points.
Gallagher’s goal at the end of the first quarter was a game turner as St. Michael’s took complete control for the remainder of the half and went in 1-6 to 0-4 in front at the interval.
With the wind in their sails St. Michael’s with Martin McElhinney, Christy Toye and Michael McGinley, Ciaran Gallagher along with McFadden scoring the points cruised to victory.
