League leaders Gweedore Celtic enjoyed a win against neighbours and rivals Gweedore United.

Celtic got their first goal when Padraig McGarvey’s shot which appeared to be going just wide was deflected by a United defender into their own net. The leveller came when a Danny McCafferty pass found Frank McGee who drove past Liam McFadden from close range. United took the lead when the ball fell to Danny McCafferty, who finished into the top corner from close range to make it 2-1.

Joe Bonner finished well following a defensive error to tie things up.

When it looked like the game was going to end in a draw Celtic got the winner when the ball fell to Michael Boyle, who scored.

Dunfanaghy Town enjoyed a fine 4-0 win over Glencar Celtic on Saturday.

The hosts broke the deadlock in the 13th minute when James Alcorn’s corner was powerfully headed into the net by Patrick Mc Fadden. They got their second when a James McMullen cross found John McFadden who slotted home. McMullen got on the score sheet himself when a Brendan Devine through ball allowed him to slot past the keeper with ease. The fourth came from a McMullen’s cross that was turned into his own net by a Glencar defender.

Milford got a last minute goal to get a draw against Castlefin Celtic at Moyle View Park on Saturday.

Milford took the lead direct from a Conor Meckin corner in the 20th minute but Castlefin equalised ten minutes later when the

Milford defence failed to clear a corner and Marcus Curran scored from six yards. The second half was end to end with Milford pushing hard and Castlefin breaking on the counter attack and it was from this that Castlefin secured a penalty that Johnny Bogle converted. Milford threw everything at Castlefin and got their deserved equaliser from a Jamie Whelan header home in the final

minute.

The telling moment in the match came in injury time. The Donegal defence failed to deal with a long ball forward and Robert Moore nipped in to lob it over the out-rushing keeper.

Fintown Harps came from three goals down to snatch a draw against Mulroy Celtic.

It was Mulroy who came out all guns blazing in this game and got a great start by getting three goals - from Mark Griffen and JP Malley. The second half was a much different game as Fintown stepped up the pace when Paddy McFadden scored. Then, John Molloy knocked another goal. Gary McHugh headed it into the back of the net to make it all even in Glenties.

The hosts took the lead after James Boyle scored from close range. Glenea and got their rewards when Peter Gildea finished well from inside the box. Cranford then scored when James McFadden did well and beat two defenders and played the ball to Kevin Fisher who finished with great strike.

Stephen Toye tapped into the open net to open the scoring. Tullyvinney drew level with a corner from Garvan Tinney on the right hand side and Martin Alexander volleyed home. Downtown broke clear late on and Anthony Walsh scored after a fine pass in the middle of the field
