The team of ‘92 are holding a charity ball in August to mark the 20th anniversary of their All-Ireland victory. The ball is on Saturday, August 18th August in the Abbey Hotel, Donegal Town.

The event was launched last evening at the Finn Valley Centre in Stranorlar. The three charities who will benefit from the event are the Donegal Hospice, Living Links and the Alzheimer’s Association.

“It is 20 years since the All-Ireland and we feel it is an opportunity to mark the win and for the players to meet up again because as a group it is a long time since we have been together,” said one of the organisers, Donal Reid.

“We have received a positive response from all the players and we are all looking forward to the night and also raising some money for the three charities.”

MC for the launch was Highland Radio’s Charlie Collins. A number of the All-Ireland winning squad attended the launch before donning their football boots and playing a Finn Harps legends line-up in a charity game at Finn Park last night.
