Seamus Coleman’s Everton are on their way to Wembley for a Merseyside FA Cup semi-final derby against Liverpool after a 2-0 win in Tuesday night’s sixth round replay against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Nikica Jelavic opened the scoring for the side managed by David Moyes before David Vaughan diverted a shot from the Croat past his own goalkeeper. Killybegs native Coleman played in the 1-1 draw between the sides in the first game at Goodison Park on St Patrick’s Day but missed the replay with a groin strain but should be fit for the last four tie on April 14.

The 23-year-old played at Wembley in 2010 when he was on loan from Everton at Blackpool and helped them win the play-off final against Cardiff City.
