Harps draw Derry in Cup draw

Finn Harps, under the management of Derry natives Felix Healy and Peter Hutton, lost by four goals to nil against Derry City on May Bank Holiday in the EA Sports League Cup and will get the chance of revenge at the end of the month, also in the Brandywell.

Ulster Senior League side Drumkeen received a bye into round two and have a massive tie against Bohemians, who have won the FAI Cup on no fewer than occasions, the last time being the 2008 triumph.

Kildrum defeated Clonmel Celtic to reach this stage of the competition and Raymond McDaid’s side have been drawn at home, to take on Avondale United from Cork, the side that defeated them 1-0 in the FAI Intermediate Cup semi-final in 2007.

Sligo Rovers are chasing a third FAI in succession after they defeated both Shamrock Rovers and Shelbourne respectively in the last two finals at the Aviva Stadium. The ties are to take place on the week-ending. of May 27.
