The 2012 Topaz Donegal Rally Clerk of the Course, Eamon McGee has announced the launch of their Rally Guide 1, ahead of the publication of the event Regulations, expected imminently.

Eamon sai: “We are putting this up now for everyone to get a good look at the features of this year’s event, showing two important points, distance and price. Competitors will see the value for money entry fee, the stage kilometres they will be getting, not only in the International and National events, but the Historic and Junior sections.”

Speaking from a special GAA gala event in Dublin at the weekend, Eamon felt it was also important for spectators and motorsport fans to see the general layout of the June weekend event, and encouraged everyone to log into the Dongal Motor Club website at www.donegalrally.ie to download details form the Rally Guide 1.

Eamon continued, “With the arrival of the Regulations shortly, this will allow competitors to prepare to get their entry in on time, and I hope that Historic and Junior competitors see that we have a special offer on the entry fee, with a reduction for those who are willing to help us on Friday 15th June. I see that a fair deal, and hope there will be a good response! For anyone interested, please make contact with the Event Secretary, Suzanne Mulhern, who has the full details.”

Eamon said, “I wish to thank all who were working very hard in the background to make the event happen this year, and without that support from those people, and the added support from Topaz as title sponsor this major event here in the North-West of Ireland could not take place. As I said before, the Topaz Donegal Rally has grown to be a major fixture in the cultural and sporting calendar of County Donegal and the North West region.”

The Topaz Donegal Rally Ireland will take place on the week-end of 15th – 17th June 2012.
