Aodh Ruadh’s Tom Daly (pictured) is set to be elected as a Trustee of the Gaelic Athletic Association when they hold their annual Congress this weekend in Laois.

The former Ulster Council President has been nominated as a trustee of the Association, at the annual gathering which will see Liam O’Neill take the reins as President of the Association.

Daly, a former Donegal vice-chairman, was in the race for the Presidency for a period, but now looks almost certain to be elected to another high office.

O’Neill replaces Cork man, Christy Cooney, whose three year term ends this weekend.

The laset Donegal man to hold the position of trustee was Micheal Gillespie, of Kilcar.
