Glenea United were the toast of the Donegal League at their annual award night at Letterkenny’s Mount Errigal Hotel on Friday.

The side managed by Tom Coll won the Brian McCormick Sports Premier Division of the Donegal League for the first time in eight years after a penalty shoot-out win over Gweedore Celtic earlier this month.

This afternoon, Glenea will bid to become the first Donegal League side ever to win the Knockalla Caravans Cup when they face Bonagee United at Leckview Park

In another interesting season on the local soccer front, there were league titles for Rathmullan Celtic in the Milford Inn Division One, Keadue Rovers in the CT Ball Division Two, Gweedore Celtic in the Saturday Division One and Fintown Harps in Division Two.

The Brian McCormick Sports Cup was won by Gweedore Celtic, while the Saturday equivalent, the Downtown Cup, was taken home by Kilmacrennan Celtic. There was also a mention of congratulations to Milford United, who won the Ulster Cup
