DONEGAL ladies slumped to their third defeat in a row when going down to a rampant Dublin in Convoy on Sunday.
The 2010 All-Ireland champions were on top throughout with full-forward Sinead Aherne tormentor in chief as she hit two goals and five points of her sides total.
Eilish Ward, with five points, and Karen Guthrie with a goal and a point carried the main scoring threat for Donegal.
Dublin led by five points at half-time before really turning up the heat in the second half as they posted to quick goals within six minutes of the start.
With Dublin 4-11 to 0-7 in front and the clock ticking Donegal did finish with a late scoring burst as Ward pointed from a free and Guthrie converted from the penalty spot after Rose Boyle was fouled.
But Dublin were not finished and they struck for their fifth and final goal in the dying minutes with substitute drilling past Roisin McCafferty, to give the scoreboard an even more painful look to it from a Donegal perspective.
With just one win from four to date Donegal are in relegation bother and must get at least one a win from their games with Tyrone and Meath.
