Drumkeen U-12 team had a convincing victory over a very weak Cappry Rovers reserve side in the East Donegal Shield Competition. Played in very muddy conditions in a reversed fixture in Cappry Park goals from Conor McDaid, Jason McDaid, Sean Doherty, Cathal Browne, Ciaran Dolan, Conor Bonner, Ridhcheall Doherty, Jack Patton and Eanna McDermott, saw Drumkeen run out easy winners. This week’s game is at home to Fintown Harps with a 1pm kick-off. Parents and players are asked to note there will be no training for the U-10 squad on Friday night.
The Drumkeen United FC 35th anniversary member Free draw in Jamesons Bar & Lounge on Friday, May 4: There are 18 prizes to be won including cash, laptop, holiday, jeating oil, electricals etc. Tickets €10 or three for €20, all proceeds in aid of astroturf training area. Pride of place goes to the under-16 team who captured the Letterkenny & District Schoolboys League title with a 2-0 play-off victory over Swilly Rovers last Thursday.
This weekend, the team play host to Raphoe Town. Anthony Gorman’s Youth League host Illistrin in the quarter-finals of the Colin Breslin Cup.
