The lotto draw took place in McClafferty’s, Churchill, on Friday last. The winning numbers were 6, 10, 22 and 27. There was no Jackpot winner. James Crossan matched three numbers. There was two winners in the open draw, Corey Gallagher and Paddy McDaid won €10 each. Next week’s draw takes place in the Glenveagh Inn. Eddie Harkin and Brian McDaid are the coordinators. The jackpot now is €1,700.

The Senior men will begin their season against Naomh Mhuire in the Junior Gaeltacht on

The club will be hosting a Mr and Mrs Night in the Lagoon on the Friday week. A good night’s craic is guaranteed. The club social night takes place on March 10. A meeting will be held next Wednesday at 8.30pm in the Craoibhin to begin planning our clubs 50th anniversary celebrations in 2013.

AODH RUADH: The club dinner dance is on this Saturday night. Tickets can be bought in Shannon’s Corner, Pearse O’Neill’s and Kernan’s Spar or through club members. ~

Thanks to all who supported our aluminium can collection on Saturday last, it was our busiest collection day yet. GAA coaching sessions continues at the following times., under 10s on Friday from 6.30 to 7.45 in the comm centre. Under 12s on Sat from 10.30 to 12 at the Dolmen Centre, Beginners from 11 to 12 and Under 8s from 12 to 1 in the centre, €2 per child. Girls Training takes place on Saturday @ 12pm in Narin Strand.

Under-14s from 6 to 7.30 in the Community Centre on Sunday evening. Under-16s on Monday evening from 6.30 to in the Dolmen Centre.

A First Aid course (certified) will take place on Feb 8th and 15th in the Club (Venue t.b.a). This years Club Easter Coaching Camp takes place on 2-4th of April, more details to follow.

The Annual Dinner and Presentation of Club Awards will take place on Saturday, February 18, in Dom’s Pier 1 at 7.30 pm sharp. Members are reminded that nominations for the Club Person of the Year 2011 award must be returned to Club Secretary, Eamonn Gorrell before next Friday.

The Ladies Board held their presentation evening last Sunday evening in Dom’s Pier 1. Awards were presented to Kelly Mc Groary and Aislinn Casey from the U-16 team, Caoimhe Gorrell and Ashling McCauley from the U-14 team and Aine Gillespie and Casey Harvey from the U-12 team. Certificates were also presented to members of the U-10 panel. A special thank you to Karl Lacey for coming along on the evening to present the girls with their awards. Many thanks to Dom’s Pier 1 for the excellent meal and thank you to Glen Curristian for the disco.

NAOMH ADHAMHNÁIN: This Sunday we will host the Donegal against Laois, National Football League Division One game at O’Donnell Park, throw-in is at 2.30pm. All stewards are asked to be at the Park for 1pm and not to bring their cars.

The Annual Presentation Night will take place in the Orchard Inn on Friday, February 24 at 7.30pm.

The hurlers opened their Ulster League campaign with a comprehensive win over Cluain (Glencar / Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim) by 2-17 to 0-6. This week they travel to Blacklion to take on Edgeworthstown outfit, Wolfe Tones.

The club will be taking part in the first round of Scór Sinsir in Glenswilly this Saturday at 7.30pm.

The next meeting for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ takes place on Thursday, February 16. Preparations are well under way and tickets will be available in the next week. The big night is on in the Mount Errigal Hotel on Friday, March 9.

Congratulations to Rose Boyle who made her competitive debut for the Donegal senior ladies on Sunday. There is a Level One Coaching Course in O’Donnell Park this weekend (Friday evening and Saturday during the day) and possibly next weekend as well (four-day course). We are holding a registration day this Saturday in the clubhouse between 11am – 1pm. All Minor Board members in particular are encouraged to attend as all players must be registered with the Northern Board by the end of February. NAOMH BRID: The seniors had their first outing of the season away to Claudy from Derry in the Ulster Intermediate League on Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately the boys ended up on the wrong side of the scoreline. Next up is a game against Slaughtmanus from Derry this coming Sunday at 2pm in Ballyshannon.

NAOMH MHUIRE: Congratulations to the senior team, the Division 3 Champions, which was confirmed last weekend. They will play Burt at home in the Banks this Sunday where win the team will be presented with the league trophy. Throw in is at midday, so please come out and show your appreciation for the lads after what has been a long, tough and drawn out season. Well done to Danny, John, Johnny and all involved. The GAA Foundation Coaching course previously advertised to take place in Ardara is now full, but one will be coming up in Donegal town in the very near future.

NA ROSSA: Na Rossa and the Leitir defibilator group are holding an ECG screening test in the hall on Saturday, March 21. A team of technicians will come to the hall on the day and test people interested in having this test done between the ages of 14 and 35. The normal cost of this is €45 per person but the Leitir defib committee are subsidising this by paying €15 for every local person in the Leitir/Doochary area taking the cost down to €30. Well done to U-16 goalkeeper Ryan McMonagle after winning his first competitive boxing match for his Dungloe club last Sunday evening in Letterkenny. Southern board delegates note the next meeting takes place this Thursday night in Doherty’s in Ardara starting at 8.30pm.

RED HUGH’S: There was one winner of this weeks Lotto draw. The winner was Marty Carlin and he receives €50. Next week’s jackpot is €750. The first 100 Club draws for this year were made recently and the first weekly draw winners were - Tommy Dullaghan, Ronan Kane, Patrick McGowan, John McMenamin and Louis Browne and they receive €100 each.

The Club is holding a Scrap Saturday event on Saturday week at the Bridge. All types of metal welcome. All old cars and farm machinery accepted anyone wanting scrap picked up can contact any St Michael’s member to arrange it. S

ST NAUL’S: There was no winner of last weekend’s slotto jackpot, winner of €80 for nearest to correct sequence was Shaun Gallagher, Drimarone, sequence drawn was 3, 7, 2, 4, 6, 1 and 5. This weekend’s jackpot will be €440. Club membership is now due for renewal and can be paid to any member of the club executive.

Anthony Harkin, Donegal County Coaching Officer and Ulster Coach, will be at St Naul’s clubhouse this Monday at 7.30pm sharp to deliver a talk on “Coaching Strategy and Structure”.

TIR CHONAILL GAELS: The club are starting a ladies football this season with us entering a team in the junior competitions. The Minor Board has arranged a Child Protection Course for Wednesday, February 22, in the clubhouse. This is an excellent course for anyone wishing to get involved with under-age kids. We would encourage any players from the senior team, wishing to coach kids to please do this course.

The Presentation Night has being arranged for Saturday, March 3, in the clubhouse. Senior, Junior, Reserve and Young Player of the year awards will be presented. Club person of the year and the Reserve League Winners medals. This will be a great opportunity for all players from all squads to get together for a good nights craic prior to the season starting.
