Donegal League preview

There are only two games this week in the Brian Mc Cormick Premier Division because of the opening round of fixtures in the Knockalla Caravans Cup, writes Peter McEniff.

The league games see Rathmullan Celtic travel to take on Glenea United and Milford United play bottom of the table Kilmacrennan Celtic.

It's another important day and Milford have a chance to move back on top of the table if they get the better of their near neighbours.

In the Temple Domestic Appliances Division One Keadue host Cranford at Central Park. Gweedore United take a visit to Kerrykeel who have not recorded any points in their last four games. Third placed Lagan travel to Lifford who are struggling at the wrong end of the table with just four points.

There are four fixtures in the CT Ball Division this weekend. Deele Harps take on Ballybofey United. This should be a close encounter as both teams are level on points near the top.

Curragh Athletic play bottom of the table Copany Rovers in Killygordon. Eany Celtic take on Letterbarrow Celtic at Tymeen which should be a close affair as there is only a point between the sides. Dunkineely travel to Mc Garvey Park to play Whitestrand United.

In the Old Orchard Division it is Drumkeen who are home to top of the table Arranmore. Orchard will take on Fintown harps who will want to bounce back after a bad home defeat to Strand Rovers.

There are five games this weekend in the Glencar Inn Division. Milford travel to Cappry who have not recorded a win in their last six games. Keadue rovers take on Castlefinn who will want to close that one point gap at the top of the table. Erne Wanderers take a visit to the Moss to take on Drumoghill. League leaders Glenea will be looking for all three points at home to St Catherines. It is a bottom of the table clash as Curragh Athletic visit Glenree who are yet to record a win this season.

It's an important day too in the Old Orchard Saturday Division with the leaders Arranmore United away to Drumkeen and second placed Orchard United meeting Fintown Harps.

There are five games in the Glencar Inn Division with Glenea United, the leaders, at home to St. Catherine's.
