The game was always close with the close tackling of both defences of the highest quality.

After an intense first half which yielded no score despite come close attempts, St. Columba, Stranorlar, took the lead in the 14th minute of the second half when Stephen McMenamin kicked a 30m penalty, awarded for side entry to a ruck.

Despite intense St. Eunan’s pressure, the held the lead until the 30th minute when a great outside break St. Eunan’s outhalf Ryan Mortimer led to a try by Jason Doherty.

St. Columba’s piled on the pressure in the last five minutes, but they were unable to get back on terms and a relieved St. Eunan’s were crowned Donegal Schools’ Senior Cup winners.
