Bridin Walsh is Dressage Champion at Deane’s
Last Sunday saw the final of the Dressage League take place at Deane’s Equestrian Centre and lots of spit and polish was used in preparation for the competition as horses and riders were all well turned out.

Last Sunday saw the final of the Dressage League take place at Deane’s Equestrian Centre and lots of spit and polish was used in preparation for the competition as horses and riders were all well turned out.

Class 1a saw Sophie McBrearty take first place in the lead rein class. While in Class 1b Cassie Lee Hegarty on Yankee claimed her first red rosette of the competition and 1st place with a great score of 57.67%. Rebecca McClafferty who was also riding Yankee took 2nd spot with a score of 54.62% and joint 3rd went to Dominka Czibla and Hollie Bradley .

The overall class winner was Hollie Bradley who had an average score of 59.23% for the 3 days of competition.In Class 2 Lauren Bradley did the business and achieved a fine score of 57.50% to take 1st place, Lily Wilcox on Truffles was close on her heels in 2nd only one percent behind on 56.50%. While 3rd place went to Ally McClay riding Meenarillagh on a score of 55.00%. Cian O’Donnell and Danielle Green were riding in their first competitions and performed well. While Rebecca Morrow performed most of her test with one stirrup so well done for getting to the end.

Overall class winner was Lily Wilcox on Truffles with an average score of 58.00% over the of 3 days competition.

Class 3 was once again all Bridin Walsh’s as she and Hill Billy Rocky rode a near perfect test to get a new high score 70.00% and take 1st place. Overall class winner was Bridin Walsh.

Class 4 saw Lucy Stewart and Marie Hainsworth fight it out for top spot, which went to Lucy Stewart on Dedo with a good score of 58.57%. Marie Hainsworth on Sandy achieved a score of 56.43%. Overall class winner was Lucy Stewart on Dedo.

A great day for Lucy Stewart on Dedo as she claimed 1st place in Class 5 and took home her second red rosette of the day with a score 55.86%. Overall class winner was Lucy Stewart on Dedo.

The overall Dressage League Champion was Bridin Walsh and Hill Billy Rocky who achieved an average score over the 3 days of competition of 66.78% well ahead of her closest competitors. So well done to Bridin and her horse Hill Billy Rocky who also picked up a prize for the best turned out.
