The annual Killygordon 5k run and walk in aid of Pieta House is being hosted on Tuesday 26th May 2015.
The 5k run and walk has become firmly established on Aurivo’s fundraising calendar having raised over €20,000 in the past three years.
The event is being organised by Aurivo Co-operative Society as part of its Charity of the Year initiative. Pieta House operates a number of centers for the prevention of suicide and self-harm around the country. As part of its strategic development plan, their vision is to have a centre within 100km of every person in Ireland and are well on their way to achieving this with plans in place to open three further centres including a centre in County Donegal. Pieta House provides specialist care providing everything free of charge and their staff are fully qualified and provide a professional one-to-one therapeutic service.
The event commences at 7.30pm and is registered with the Athletics Association of Ireland.
There is an entry fee of €6 which includes entry into a prize draw.
Refreshments will be offered
